Compare health insurers without detours.
The additional contributions of the health insurers differ, and switching usually takes just a few minutes online. Still, it is often hard to find a clear answer. That is exactly why we built Krankenkasse günstiger: a site that shows you what matters – clear and up to date.

How we built this site
Up to date, with sources
We show the additional contributions with the date and source – from the list of the GKV-Spitzenverband (National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds) or directly from the insurer’s own announcement. Anything not yet decided is marked as such.
Health insurance only
This site is about health insurance, not electricity, mobile contracts or loans. Other topics such as private health insurance only appear where they fit your situation.
No gimmicks
No countdowns, no “today only”, no prize draws. You decide at your own pace.
No call centre
Behind this site is an insurance broker, not a call centre.
No sign-up
You can read the additional contributions and guides without an account and without giving your name. You only enter your details when you submit an application yourself.

Price isn’t everything. Insurers also differ in extra benefits and bonus programmes – so we show both.
Sorted by contribution
Our own lists of insurers are sorted by additional contribution only. If your insurer is already low-cost, you’ll see that there too.

We translate technical terms into plain language. The site is available in German and English – also for everyone who is new to Germany.

How we earn money
Remuneration from the insurer
The comparison and advice on statutory health insurance cost you nothing. If a switch of health insurer comes about through us, we receive remuneration from the receiving health insurer; our partner VGK24 may also pay us for enquiries – not you. Your contribution is the same as if you switched directly with the insurer.
The calculator comes from VGK24
In our partner’s comparison calculator, the order of the insurers may be influenced by the amount of remuneration. Our own lists are not affected – they are sorted by additional contribution only.
No selling of data
We do not sell your data.
